How can you find out if your legaly married?

I want to find out if my man and I are really married under the law.How can you find out if your legaly married?
Call the state or county office that processes marriage certificates where you got married. How can you find out if your legaly married?
I surmise that you may be referring to ';Common Law Marriages';.

The answer is that three questions must be met to say one is married under this idea.

First both parties must have a meeting of the minds that they are living together as husband and wife and those in your lives see it that way too. It should be a reasonable length of time but time alone is not the issue.

Second, the couples must be of legal age or have parental consent.

Third , they each must be otherwise qualified to enter marriage.

They must not be already married and be of sound mind. In many states one cannot be serving a life sentence in prison.

I say I presume ';Common Law Question'; because it is clear that unless you were drunk, drugged and stupid and in Vegas or Mexico you would know about whether or not you filed a marriage license and said your vows in front of a judge or minister.

I also assume and answer based on U.S. Law
Odd question? Did you ever go and apply for a marriage license at your county court house? This marriage license would then be signed by the person who conducted your wedding and the license would need to then be recorded at the court house. The court house which issued the original license should be able to tell you if a recorded copy of your marriage was ever submitted.
huh??? did you have a ceremony and did you go to the county office to get the paper work in order prior to the wedding?
Why would you not know this? Getting your marriage license is not something you ';forgot'; you did.........
