Getting married on his leave can i move to his base with him?

My fiancee just finished AIT, and we're getting married in a week. He reports to his first base two weeks after the wedding at Fort Lewis, WA. Do I go with him or does he go and then I meet him out there later. I've heard different things, and we have a very small dog how does that affect things?Getting married on his leave can i move to his base with him?
he will need to get you put on the orders, otherwise the military will NOT pay for you to move. When you get the marriage license, you need to go to the nearest military post and he needs to enroll you in deers, then he needs to see who he needs to speak to in order to have you put on the ordersGetting married on his leave can i move to his base with him?
You wont be able to go with him at 1st. You can move there but not at the Governments expense. You will also have to have your marriage certificate and be enrolled into DEERS and get a military spouse ID. It also depends on what his orders say. Im sure that going to WA wont be a problem but he may have to get his orders changed if they say unaccompanied or something like that.
He will have to get his orders ammended to include you if not it will be at your own expense to move.

You either take the dog or it stays behind with someone. Post have kennels but that gets expensive to you find a place to live.
Most base housing has a waiting list. You may end up renting an apartment off base for a while. Pets are not usually a problem. He will receive money for housing. If he is going through a school, you may need to wait until he finishes it.
Candi is correct - don't know why she got a thumbs down.
