What kind of financial aid is available to 40-yr-old man, married w/kid?

Is there anything? My husband has an extensive background in residential maintenance and is trying to work up to industrial maintenance. He wants to take industrial maintenance classes at the community college in order to help him achieve this goal.

He is forty years old, married, with one child, age 2. He makes less than 35K a year; I am currently a homemaker so no income from me.

Any ideas as to what he's eligible for? What kind of financial aid is available to 40-yr-old man, married w/kid?
You can try FAFSA for government aid. There is also scholarships and grants available at FastWeb.

Good luck, and I'm glad to see that there are people out there, regardless of age, willing to go back to school to further their education. What kind of financial aid is available to 40-yr-old man, married w/kid?
try http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

best of luck to him :0)
Have your thought about applying for a ';continuing education'; scholarship. Hurry before it's too late (spring deadlines are coming up).

Congrats on going back to school, that takes alot of guts ;)

What I'd do is download that free scholarship guide and apply to scholarships for homemakers, continuing education professionals, adult learners, etc.
