Is masturbation a sin if you are married?

I have heard the argument that masturbation is a sin because you are probably having lustful thoughts while doing it... but if you are married and thinking of your spouse while masturbating, would it be considered okay after you are married?Is masturbation a sin if you are married?
I'm not aware that the bible every mentions masturbation as a sin, although one man died because he refused to fulfill his duty as a brother and 'spilled his seed'; yet this story doesn't reject masturbation as sin outright.





Lust is always a falling-short of the mark for what God has prepared for us as children of His kingdom. Masturbation is closely tied to lust, and often lust after another woman other than your wife. My question is, if you (a woman) is really wanting sex and you're married and thinking about the man you're married to while masturbating... you think, if he's at all a man, he'd oblige you and give you some loving.Is masturbation a sin if you are married?

At least if your a Christian. If you're a Catholic, gays are the devil, and masturbation is unheard of.
In this situation, I think it would be acceptable. But if you were to think of someone else during the act, it would be sinful.
